Daily routines, tasks and errands that we do every day can be a difficult experience for persons with intellectual disabilities. Going through those challenges, and how people are treating you—well-meaning or otherwise—can create an isolating mindset that only makes trying to go about their day even more difficult. That is why it is so important for them to have somewhere they can safely foster their independence.
At Columbian Industries, we believe in the worth and dignity of every person. We believe that persons with disabilities should be given the opportunity to achieve as independent a lifestyle as possible. That is why we continue to pursue our work and rely on the support of generous donors like you.
The programs and services we provide rely on financial support from generous community members like you. Whether it’s supporting the continued operation of our group homes, supported living services or day programs, your donations give our team the ability to not only keep our services running but the opportunity to make improvements. With your support, we can increase our capacity to support more participants, introduce better activities that increase independent skill sets and expand the amount of experiences we can provide our participants.
