Here at Columbian Industries, we spend our days doing everything that we can to bring more independence to the lives of those with intellectual disabilities. But, if we didn’t have the support of our neighbours in the community, we wouldn’t have been able to keep our doors open for over 30 years.
We are so fortunate to have the support of our local community. The individuals we’ve been able to meet, who we’ve helped support and who have supported us, are incredible. Through our services, we hope to give back as much as the community has given, and continues to give us.
It is truly heartwarming that we can continue to provide our services and programming in the community. It goes to show that not only does Cudworth support what we do, they believe in our mission just as much as we do. For all of the kindness, time and generosity you’ve shown us, we want to thank you. We look forward to being a part of the community for years to come.
How we support inclusivity locally.
Columbian Industries has called Cudworth home since 1986. During that time, we’ve sought to bring housing, training, activities and job opportunities to the communities in and around the area. In addition to our services, we’ve joined the community at church, fundraisers and camps. We even provide cardboard pick-up in certain communities!
By spending time within the community and the families that call it home, we can continuously learn the best ways to give back and provide our support wherever we can. Our hope is to continue providing a valuable service to Cudworth and our surrounding communities, improving our services and the amount of people we can support as Columbian Industries grows.
